By submitting a membership application, creating an account, or otherwise using the Services, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Services. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify active members of material changes via email or WhatsApp. Continued use of the Services after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal information: Identity & Contact Information: First and last name, email address, WhatsApp phone number, profile photograph, and language preference. Padel Profile Data: Skill level and experience, preferred playing side, match type preferences (networking, competitive, lessons, clinics), preferred padel clubs and their rankings, weekly availability (day and hour-by-hour time slots), and self-provided biographical information. Coach Information (if applicable): Whether you are a padel coach, services offered, fee structures, preferred coaching venues, and Instagram handle (optional). Match & Performance Data: Match history, post-match ratings submitted by you, post-match ratings submitted about you by other members, dynamic skill ratings (WPR — Weekly Performance Rating), networking scores, and availability response patterns. Communications Data: The content of messages you send us through the contact form, and metadata from WhatsApp interactions including message timestamps, delivery status, and reply content used for availability parsing. Technical Data: IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, pages visited, time spent on pages, and referring URLs, collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the personal information we collect for the following purposes: Matchmaking Services: To generate AI-assisted match suggestions based on your skill level, availability, preferred clubs, play style, and match history. To send weekly match suggestions, availability prompts, and post-match rating requests via WhatsApp. Account Management: To process your membership application, create and manage your account, verify your identity, and communicate administrative information. Service Improvement: To analyze usage patterns, improve our matchmaking algorithms, develop new features, and personalize your experience on the platform. Communications: To send you service-related notifications, community updates, and administrative messages via email and WhatsApp. We will not send marketing communications unrelated to the Services without your separate consent. Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes, including responding to lawful requests from public authorities. Safety & Security: To detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent activity, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service.
4. WhatsApp Communications & TCPA
By consenting during the membership application process, you authorize Brisa Padel to contact you via WhatsApp at the phone number you provide. WhatsApp messages may be automated or manually initiated and may include match suggestions, availability check-ins, post-match rating requests, and service announcements. We do not sell or share your phone number with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Your WhatsApp number is used solely to facilitate the Services described in these policies. You may opt out of WhatsApp communications at any time by replying STOP to any message or by contacting us at legal@brisapadel.com. Please note that opting out may limit your ability to receive match suggestions and other core features of the Services. We comply with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and applicable Florida telecommunications law in all automated communications.
5. Matchmaking Data & Ratings
Your match history, post-match ratings, and dynamic performance scores (WPR and networking scores) are used exclusively to improve the quality and accuracy of match suggestions. This data is processed algorithmically and reviewed by Brisa Padel administrators. Post-match ratings submitted by other members about your performance are treated as confidential and will not be disclosed to you in individually identifiable form. Aggregated or anonymized rating data may be used for internal analytics and product development. Availability data you provide — whether through the Account page, the membership application, or WhatsApp replies — is used solely to identify compatible match windows across four players and is not shared with third parties.
6. Sharing of Personal Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances: With Other Members: Your first name, profile photograph, skill level, and preferred playing side may be visible to other Brisa Padel members in the context of match suggestions. Your contact details, ratings, and administrative scores are never shared with other members. With Service Providers: We may share information with trusted third-party vendors who assist us in operating the Services (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics, email delivery). These vendors are contractually obligated to protect your information and may only use it to perform services on our behalf. For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Brisa Padel, our members, or the public. Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or WhatsApp before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
7. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
Our website uses cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies to enhance your browsing experience, analyze site traffic, and understand how members interact with the platform. Cookies are small data files stored on your device. Specifically: Active member profiles are retained for the duration of membership plus two years. Membership applications (approved or denied) are retained for two years. Match history and rating data are retained for the duration of membership plus three years. WhatsApp communication logs are retained for one year. You may request deletion of your data at any time subject to the limitations described in Section 10.
10. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights with respect to your personal information: Access: You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you. Correction: You may update or correct inaccurate information through your Account page or by contacting us. Deletion: You may request that we delete your personal information. We will honor deletion requests subject to our legal obligations and legitimate business needs (e.g., we may retain certain records for legal compliance purposes). Portability: You may request a machine-readable copy of the personal information you have provided to us. Opt-Out of Communications: You may opt out of WhatsApp messages at any time by replying STOP or contacting legal@brisapadel.com. We will take prompt steps to delete such information from our records.
